Does anyone know of any promotional companies/websites that offer free guest lists for night clubs in Austin?
Guest List for Austin Nightclubs
For 99% of the places in Austin, this isn%26#39;t necessary or really even thought of. You walk along, see/hear a place that looks interesting, pay the cover (if there is a cover) and enter. That%26#39;s it. That being said, in the last couple of years, a couple of ultra-lounges have popped up. These places are trying to bring a NYC/Miami/LA vibe to Austin complete with outrageous covers and bottle service. They are not terribly popular with the locals, and while I%26#39;ve never actually been inside one of these places, when I%26#39;ve walked by, they never seem crowded. (Perhaps I%26#39;m too early for the crowd.)
This one is on 6th Street -- http://www.pureultralounge.com/Main.html . There is an email address to which you can send a request to be added to the ';guest list.';
This one is in the Warehouse District -- http://do512.com/venue/pangaea-austin . It%26#39;s main website is down (maybe not a good sign), but there%26#39;s a phone number here that you could call to see about a guest list.
Remember what everyone said about Austin being casual in response to your other post? Nix that for these two. From what I understand, people do tend to get a little more dressed up. This isn%26#39;t NYC, but you%26#39;ll probably see more girls in tiny dresses and high heels at these places.

Thanks Mr. Ted. This is helpful!! I%26#39;m from the DC area, and while guest lists aren%26#39;t really required here either it helps with waiting in line (if there are any) and paying outrages covers (which I am not a fan of). Thanks for the tip on my other post regarding the attire.
I lived in DC for 9 years, so here%26#39;s an analogy -- Austin is more Adams Morgan than Georgetown or Penn Quarter. Enjoy your trip!
