Shopping on the Strand?

Hi there. I%26#39;m celebrating my birthday in Galveston this weekend and I will probably spend a full day just taking in the sights and sounds on the Strand before heading to the Symphony at night.

My question is this, I would like to do a good deal of walking and window shopping. Does anyone know if Hendley Market is open yet? Are there any other neat shops that are open yet? And any other tips are appreciated. I set on the Strand for Sunday. Saturday is Seawall day.

I%26#39;m not in Galveston and haven%26#39;t bee since Ike, but MANY of the web sites for spots are still showing that they are closed.

Shopping on the Strand?

Hendley Market just opened this weekend (Memorial Weekend), but only had a couple of tables of stuff. A whole group of stores reopened on the Strand for the first time this weekend.
