Hotels week of 7-7 / 7-13

Can%26#39;t decide on hotel - would like riverwalk area, kid friendly, this is the week of the festival so prices I think are a little high, but thats just part of the deal of staying so close to the ';stuff';. Is it still worth it. Hawthorn looks good but heard the constuction was really bad! Help!

What are you looking to pay?

Hotels week of 7-7 / 7-13

was looking for something around $100.00 a night.

I almost forgot! Your top 2 resturants in the riverwalk area. We love mexican food but are truly open, %26amp; kids love to try new foods. We want a place thats has it all food, fun, a good view. Or just a place that just can%26#39;t be missed.Ya%26#39;ll are great! Thanks for all the tips.

Prices look good - I just checked Hotwire for the dates you mentioned:

$93 4-star hotel in Riverwalk North and Alamo Area

$59 3-star hotel in Riverwalk North and Alamo Area

$104 4-star hotel in Riverwalk South - La Villita

$89 3.5-star hotel in Riverwalk North and Alamo Area

Restaurants - Mi Tierra (fun touristy Tex-Mex,) Schilo%26#39;s (homemade root beer) Casbeers (great burgers,); Blue Star (Brew-Pub, homemade root beer) on the river Boudro%26#39;s (table-side guacamole)

If you%26#39;re talking about CAM (Contemporary Art Month) as the festival it really shouldn%26#39;t affect things too much. It%26#39;s very local and spread out. Some cool stuff, but not really a destination festival.

Hawthorn is great but I%26#39;m not sure of the construction noise situation as of now. You could call %26amp; see if they have a room away from the noise, I%26#39;ve done that before I travel to a hotel that had construction going on, they will tell you if they can or not.????

I agree with Mi Tierra www.mitierracafe.com or La Margarita www.lamargarita.com or Pico de Gallo www.picodegallo.com Boudro%26#39;s with guacamole prepared tableside www.boudros.com or eating at the top of the Tower of the Americas www.toweroftheamericas.com you have a spectacular view of SA while you dine as the tower rotates as you eat.

Not sure what riverwalk north %26amp; alamo area mean? I don%26#39;t remember this area at all. could you give me some hotel names? Thanks

You can go to Hotwire and see the location of these San Antonio Zones. Hotwire does not provide the names of the hotels.

To many hotels could someone point me in the right direction! would love if we could get all this. Free parking, cont. breakfast, good location riverwalk area, is that also downtown area? traveling w/ kids doesn%26#39;t have to be fancy, just a cool hotel in SA. O would love a outdoor pool.Help!

Just curious did you change your date to come to SA in another post you stated in June during the folklife festival, this one is in July??? Is this correct??? If it%26#39;s now in July did you recheck the Drury Inn or Plaza great value for your money.

Free Parking won%26#39;t be on the Riverwalk but nearby in the downtown area.

Days Inn Dwntown Rw www.salodging.com

Fairfield Inn Dwntn/MS www.marriott.com/satfi

Hampton Inn www.sanantoniodowntown.hamptoninn.com

Residence Inn www.residenceinnalamoplaza.com

Residence Inn MS www.marriott.com/satri

See I am going crazy planning this trip! You are right, June, not July! Thanks I will check out these hotel I can get 1 room at the Drury for $169 High but everybody I talk to says its worth it.
