San Antonio hotel/motel/B&B suggestions

My husband and I are taking our 16-year old daughter, her best friend, and our 9-year old son to San Antonio this summer. He and I have always stayed at the Marriott RiverCentre located on the RiverWalk, which is a very nice hotel for a romantic weekend, perfect location and great view. However, it is too expensive for a week-long ';family of 5 vacation'; considering our activities: 2-days at Sea World, the Alamo, RiverWalk, shopping at outlets (New Braunfels), tubing the Guadalupe River. If enough time (and money) is left, we may go to the Wax Museum, the zoo, etc. And then there%26#39;s a week of 3 meals daily.

I%26#39;ve searched the web and am considering staying in another town outside of S.A. to save on hotel. My brother lives in Seguin; however, as he is a resident, he does not stay in the hotels/motels/B%26amp;Bs in his home town.

Can anyone make a recommendation on accomodations in/around Seguin?

There are reasonable places in SA that aren%26#39;t in the downtown area. If you are looking for a place that charge by the week you make want to check out Intown Suites www.intownsuites.com

The Drury Inn %26amp; Suites are a great value for your money with lots of FREE amenities. www.druryhotels.com

Hawthorn Suites are good also www.hawthornsuitessa.com

Seguin is about 25 min away from SA %26amp; about 45 mins to SeaWorld.

Near SeaWorld you have Comfort Suites www.sacomfortsuites.com %26amp; the Hampton Inn www.hamptoninn.com %26amp; Holiday Inn Express www.holidaysanantonio.com

It may be easier to stay in SA then traveling back %26amp; forth.

Based on what you waht to do. I would recommedn that you stay in New Braunsfels, not Seguin. Its just a short drive away.

In the alternative if you want SA, then I would recommend the Selma area. There is a Holiday Inn Express right by the Costco there, it looks new.
