My wife and I are looking to get away in late June to the Fort Davis area. Interest in hiking, biking, shoping, and sigh seeing but don%26#39;t want to camp. Can you recommend a place to stay for around $100 per night? Prefer a pool.
Thanks.
Chris

Lodging in Fort Davis
We stayed at the Hotel Limpia a couple of years ago and really liked it. Rooms were comfortable and the staff was very friendly.
Fort Davis is a very small town, so it%26#39;s surprising they have more than one or two lodgings. Here is the TripAdvisor.com listings, and reviews by previous guests.

Nearby: Ft. Davis National Historic Site is one of the best, if not the best restored military posts in the entire Southwest. McDonald Observatory is also interesting. I don%26#39;t know what your route is, but the drive through the Davis Mountains between Ft. Davis, and Kent (at I-10) is especially scenic, and it%26#39;s not uncommon to see Mule deer, and other animals, especially early and late in the day. Have a nice trip!
chris, my husband and i recently stayed at the wayside inn B%26amp;B (432.426.3535) and loved it! they have VERY comfortable beds, breakfast to die for, and the location provides a panoramic view of the community. the resident hosts are charming and hospitable . . . it was a great way to connect with the area! they know a lot about the history of the area and can help you map out your adventures day-by-day . . . the owner/general manager/hostess is a former tour guide in the area and has been in the hopitality industry for years, so she is very knowledgable. there is no swimming pool at the B%26amp;B, but balmorhea (35 miles) has the world%26#39;s largest outdoor natural spring-fed pool! you can%26#39;t go without visiting there!!
Wayside Inn is awesome! I highly recommend staying there! Matt B. Austin Texas
