We have international visitors flying into Houston--George Bush Int on Air France, staying overnight, and flying onward early the next morning from Hobby--Southwest Airlines. Can anyone recommend a good hotel that would have complimentary transportation to and from both airports?
2 airports, 1 hotelApparently there are no complementary transportation that serves both airport. Those that do are hotels near the airports, but the airports are on opposite ends of each other.
Your best bet would be to take SuperShuttle to either a hotel in the Galleria or Texas Medical Center from IAH, and then call them to take you to HOU the next morning.
2 airports, 1 hotelNone of Houston%26#39;s hotels will meet your needs, unless your visitors are Rock Stars, and since Rock Stars rarely fly on Southwest . . .
If the visitors are comfortable driving a rental car, then that will be the most economical local transportation. Most of the large rental companies allow pick up at IAH and drop at HOU without any additional charges. If not, local transport options are taxis, car service, Shuttle or public bus. Public bus is only recommended for experienced and mobile travelers.
Best option is to stay in central Houston if the visitors have an interest in exploring restaurants, the movies or the theatre the day of arrival. Taxi trips from there to HOU take about 40 minutes %26amp; rental car drive and drop takes 60 minutes.
If visitors just want a hotel to sleep that afternoon and evening, another option is the Houston Hobby Marriott Hotel on the South (I45) Freeway. There is little nearby entertainment here for visitors, but the hotel has an adequate restaurant and also has a shuttle bus to HOU.
Ditto with the above post. Best is to rent a car - other than that - well same as what he said.
