Two 50 year old ';young'; married couple going away together--I have narrowed my choices down to La mansion and the Watermark.--here is what I am thinking: la mansion is romantic and has charmed as a ';older'; hotel--but with that I know it can

broken down (I hate old bad bathrooms)--have a riverview --but I think its only a stand at the doorway.--Watermark has seats outside with the riverside view--and its bathrooms are new and beautiful. --But it misses the charmed of the historic older hotel.---anybody stay in either one to give ideas to me.--we dont go away that much so I want it nice for my husband and I.

Have you considered Hotel Valencia..The two Hotels you mentioned were better before Omni took them over..You have pointed out the differences in the two Hotels yourself..Depends what you would prefer..Both are fine Hotels with the La Mansion a little dated(A grand dame in her time)..

As you said they are both very nice but it does depend on your personal preference %26amp; which meets your criteria better.

I do feel that Wathermark has the better spa, it%26#39;s superb, just love it. It%26#39;s also consider the 50th best hotel in the country. It has a beautiful marble bathroom %26amp; a jacuzzi tub with a separate shower.

The Mansion del Rio has been recently renovated in Sept 2007 which also has a marble bathroom with antique style furnishing, the balcony has insulated double paned glass doors. They have an excellent restaurant Las Canarias that has a Sunday champagne brunch.

They both have a great location on the river %26amp; great hotel amenities %26amp; superior service so you can%26#39;t go wrong with either so it all depends on which meets your personal preference better. No wrong choice here!!!!!

Which one gives you a better price maybe could be the deciding factor if nothing else.
