I will stay at Emily Morgan Hotel in Early March for 2 nights. Parking at the hotel is $26+tax per day. It%26#39;s really expensive. Any suggestions as where I can park during the visit? Is it safe to walk around the hotel at night? The hotel is right next to the Alamo on Houston AND 3rd. st. THANKS so much.

Yes it%26#39;s pretty safe there but always have your wits with you, always take precautions in your surrounding area to be safe anywheres.

I am wondering if I can leave my car at these parking lots on the map overnight?? Is it safer to park it at a garage vs. a parking lot?
it is generally safe...there is surface and street/meter parking directly behind E. Morgan

whenever we stay downtown with friends we always park on the street (free after 6, weekends, and holidays)...free parking everywhere!
take normal precautions and you will be good to go!

I ended up parking at a lot next to La Quinta hotel which is about 5 mins walking to Emily. It%26#39;s $5 per 24 hrs period if I remember it correctly. It%26#39;s self-serve and no one was on duty. I think it%26#39;s generally safe walking around at night. Use your common sense.
