Playground near river walk?

We are traveling to San Antonio with our 14 month old tomorrow. I%26#39;m looking for a place where we can let him stretch his legs, and I was wondering if there is a playground within walking distance to the River walk where we can let him run off some steam. We are staying at the Drury Plaza. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Playground near river walk?

Hemisphere Park about a block from the Riverwalk has a playground for kids. The park is located across the street from La Villita and next to the convention center.

There is also one in the park next to El Marcado, about 6 short blocks west of the Drury on W. Commerce. You can walk there or take the trolley.

Ask for a transfer slip and the ride is 1$ roundtrip each.

You already got some great suggestion but I would like to add 1 more place you could go for him to run around but it%26#39;s not a playground but a park area in front of the Alamo that has benches %26amp; room to run around.
