O'Brien Historic Hotel

A group of us riding motorcycles to San Antonio in May are staying at the O%26#39;Brien - I don%26#39;t see it listed on Hotels in San Antonio and was wondering if anyone out there has any information on this establishment. We were also very surprised that you have to pay for a parking space. Luckily we can put 2 motorcycles in a spot. The O%26#39;Brien was the only place contacted that is letting us pay by space - not vehicle.

Virtually every hotel in a downtown area (in any major city) charges a (large) fee for parking. That%26#39;s one of the reasons I usually shoot for a hotel/motel in the burbs. I believe it%26#39;s only $10 a night - that%26#39;s actually a great rate. Most of the others charge around $20.

Anyway, I pass by the O%26#39;Brien every day. It%26#39;s in a good location a few blocks from La Villita and that part of the River.

I would double check their parking..normally, it is simply surface parking across the street. I would verify if they indeed have a courtyard (secured area) for your bikes.

The O%26#39;Brien is a very lovely hotel. www.obrienhotel.com

Never been in it. It%26#39;s a small hotel with a great location. It%26#39;s stuffed in an area where parking is tight so I can see where they can get away with charging for parking.
