Ok so is it still good? Gaidos

So my DH said he used to go to Gaidos years ago and they had such wonderful food. I believe I read about it in Southern Living magazine 10-15 years ago. The reviews I have read recently are not as kind and sounds a little pricey. I, personally am not so into fish so it basically all tastes the same to me...fishy or not so fishy. Oh and by the way, fishy...it%26#39;s not so good. I have read rewiews also about Caseys(is this a chain???) The reviews have been better and prices sound lower than Gaidos but supposedly owned by the same family. If anyone has recent info I would appreciate it. We will be in Galveston May 27-29. We will be at Commodore on the Beach(I think) I have seen good and bad reviews of this place. It sounds like you get a balcony view of the ocean, beach, seawall...whatever it is called. That is good for us.

It%26#39;s one of my favorites on Galveston. A little pricey. I also really like Salt Water Grill saltwatergrill.net

I%26#39;m not a fan of Gaidos; I tried it last March and was very disappointed myself.

I really like the Saltwater Grill and Rudy and Paco%26#39;s; both slightly upscale and near the Strand area.

For good and well priced seafood consider Nate%26#39;s in Jamaica Beach (about 8-9 miles west of the Seawall); we ate there in late Feb and really liked it. The whole fried flounder was moist, flaky and a huge well priced portion.

We had a so-so meal at the Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf, great waitress and good enough food but nothing to write home about.
