Restaurants for family with three young children

We leave for SA next Tuesday and will have our 4-year-old, almost 3-year-old, and 8-month-old with us. I need restaurant recommendations that are child-friendly! :) We%26#39;d love some great Tex-Mex/Mexican and BBQ. We are staying near Sea World, but will hopefully be traveling around the city some too.

Right by Sea World is a Rudy%26#39;s BBQ. At 151 %26amp; 410 a few miles away is a Tiago Grill - Great Shrimp Cocktail but too hot the litle ones. The Beef K-bob is very good, soso children menu (but it does come with a frozen desert)

I%26#39;m partial to Alamo Cafe... never had problems bringing our kids there. Maybe not the BEST Tex-Mex in town, but definitely good.

For good home cooking meals you may want to go to Earl Abel%26#39;s www.earlabelssa.com

Rudy%26#39;s is by SeaWorld %26amp; would be a great choice for BBQ or if you are looking for quick BBQ you may want to stop at a Bill Miller%26#39;s very good BBQ %26amp; lots of choices.

Have a great visit in SA %26amp; Please write a TR %26amp; let us know how it went.????

It depends on how picky the kids are. Having two little ones ourselves, I can say we unfortunately don%26#39;t get to go to Rudy%26#39;s as much as we%26#39;d like.

I assume you are planning a trip to Sea World... In that case, I would highly recommend the Rio Loco Barbecue inside the park. It is actually quite good, considering where it is, and not exhorbitantly expensive. There, the kids can get a lunchbox with good quality chicken strips and fries, while you indulge yourself on a proper brisket + sausage plate... Their beans are yummy -- don%26#39;t forget to order them!

For Tex Mex, I agree that Chuy%26#39;s is good for the kids. It isn%26#39;t the best Tex Mex overall, but not bad, either. They have a good size menu for the kids, can handle fidgiting well, and have great sopapillas for dessert. Hacienda de los Barrios would be the place of choice for us, because of the nice playground outside, but it is a long ways from Sea World.

There are also quite a few burger + playground places around town. Not the McDonald%26#39;s variety, either -- proper hand-packed burgers %26amp; beer, with large play areas outside. Some have basketball courts, game fields, etc, to go with big outdoor playgrounds. These places are great for kids and adults, but I don%26#39;t know if there are any on the west side of town.

For steakhouses, the old favorite Texas Land %26amp; Cattle is also great for kids. The kids meals are VERY inexpensive (makes a big slab of beef for you affordable!), and the kids love the atmosphere...

Thanks for all of the great responses! :)
