Hotel for a layover at IAH

Hi, I will arrive at IAH coming from LAX at about 6am. I will depart from Houston at 9pm, so I麓ll have 15hs to spend in Houston. I don麓t like the idea to stay so many hours at the airport, so I麓m looking for a hotel (with airport shuttle or close to the airport) to stay for a day-use.

Do you know some hotel with a fare for less than $80 ?

I don%26#39;t know the condition of these hotels, so check the reviews, but try:

Ramada Limited on JFK Blvd.

Ramada Houston North

Clarion Inn and Sleep Inn both on JFK Blvd.

Quality Inn

Here is a link from the IAH website. Not sure if any of these hotels has a %26#39;day rate%26#39;. Usually check in is at 2:00p or 3:00p. Will need to make special arrangements or you will have to pay for 2 nights. Most hotels are okay with early check in based on availability.

There is also a nice LaQuinta near the airport; go on the LQ website and check out the tab at the top that says ';last minute deals';. Most of the hotels in that area have a shuttle. There is also a newer Baymont Inn, but be sure to check out the reviews of the airport hotels...on TripAdvisor, of course! :)

I can usually search online, and find a good discount code for La Quinta, as well.

There is a Marriott right there at the airport. I have stayed there and it was fine. Give them a call and ask about a day rate for 7 AM to 7 PM. It might be within range. They may be negotiable depending on the date. Shuttling to a nearby hotel won%26#39;t do you a lot of good for seeing or doing anything.
