Stop along hwy 271

I am taking our youth group to Port Arthur, TX and need a stop somewhere around midpoint from Kansas City, MO. If there is some minor inexpensive fun thing to do for the evening, that would be a bonus. It will be late June.

The zoo, but I don%26#39;t think they are open terribly late.

drat sorry I misread, was wondering what this is doing in Texas. You mean 271 which has terminus in Tyler. If you mean half way along that, I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s in Texas, either. Muskogee? If you mean half way from Tyler to Port Arthur, then your best bet is Lufkin, and lots of luck. Sleepy East Texas town. Maybe contact some youth directors at churches in the area?
