Best condo for kids and grandparents?

Hi! My husband and I want to take our kids (5 and 7) and my parents to SPI for a week in mid July. We%26#39;d like to stay in a cabin or condo on the beach, but my dad is not in the best of health and needs his rest, so its really important that I find a place away from the party crowd but still near a restaurant or some activities for the kids. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Consider Beach House I %26amp; II. The condos are smaller, thus less people. The pools were never crowded and it%26#39;s in the middle of the island and within walking distance to some nice restaurants like the Brewery (best food).

It depends on your budget. There are lots of condo properties available. And I wouldn%26#39;t worry too much about a big party crowd. In the summer, South Padre is mainly all families.

You don%26#39;t really need to be close to restaurants or activities, as you can drive just about anywhere on the island in five minutes...

I dont think you will have a problem getting a place that will meet your needs. The island is one long strip. Just be sure that you have an elevator if you are up high. You dont want you Dad climbing stairs.

I would stay beachfront. it is much easier to get to the beach. You dont want you Dad huffing and puffing to get there.

Watch the heat. it is best to go to the beach early morning and late afternoon and evening. There are umbrellas to rent there on the beach.

If you are beach front, you could stay out with the kids while your Dad naps.
