I am a Sydney gal who will be travelling to Texas to see NKOTB in concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in July. I will be flying into LA then getting a connecting flight to Texas.
Can someone please tell me:
- Which is the best airport to get the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion?
- How far is this airport to the Pavilion and can I get public transport to there? How much roughly would it cost by bus/taxi?
- Is there accommodation nearby to the Pavilion? I don鈥檛 want to have to travel too far after the concert in an unknown place and esp seeing as i%26#39;ll be on my own. I%26#39;d like somewhere not too expensive, but it has to be clean and have my own bathroom.
Thanks so much for your help!
A few questions reTexas %26amp; Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
First off, if you don%26#39;t get much response posting in the Texas forum, you might try the Houston forum. The Woodlands is where the Pavilion is and that is near Houston.
Fly into IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport). Take a look at ground transporation on the website. Super Shuttle will probably be your best bet- I don%26#39;t think hotels in the Woodlands over hotel shuttles for free anymore. The Woodlands is about 22 miles from IAH and one site showed $22 for Super Shuttle. Taxi would be about $47.

There are several nice hotels in the Woodlands- some offer shuttles to the Pavilion for concerts (it%26#39;s about 2 miles away). I would email the hotels for specific info on that then choose where to stay.

A few questions reTexas %26amp; Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
It took me a few minutes - New Kids On The Block and are you REALLY coming all the way to Houston for the concert?!!?!?
Bush Int%26#39;l Airport (IAH) is your closest airport, less than 30 minutes away.
The closest hotel to CWMP is the Marriott Woodlands Waterway, directly across the street. The next 2 closest hotels are the Hilton Garden Inn and the Marriott Residence Inn II, both about a mile away, but a straight shot down Six Pines Drive. Other hotels a bit further away is the Marriott Residence Inn I, Courtyard by Marriott and the Drury Inn.
There was a boutique hotel being build at Market Street shopping area, just across from the CWMP, but not certain when it%26#39;s scheduled to open. This link is having problems right now, but it%26#39;ll have a information for the hotel....
