Which golf course is the nicest at La Contera?

Thats it depends question. The Palmer course is nicer, but I like the old one better.
Just to let you know, the Muni course Ceder Creek, front 9 is very nice, the back 9 so-so, for a fraction of the price.

DH said the Palmer course is the best.
I think this is fairly subjective. Palmer is, without question, the harder of the two. It is a beautiful course, but it is unforgiving, with sloping greens that crest in the middle of the fairways. I love this course, but I have to bring extra balls, because I lose more here than on a typical day.
The Resort Course is also very, very nice. It is a LONG course, and can handle more players. It as some very picturesque holes of its own (The Rattler!), but it is not quite as bucolic (it passes right by Six Flags) or difficult. This is the one that is played at the Open, so depending on when you come out, it might be tougher than normal.
You really won%26#39;t go wrong either way, but if you are a hacker, expect to lose a few at the Palmer course. These are still two of the best courses in San Antonio.
By the way, Cedar Creek muni is right there, as well, and is a great value course. It is very, very nice as munis go. It is scenic, and forgiving (the lies are the opposite of Palmer%26#39;s -- at the base of the valleys, instead of at the crests). This one gets busy...
