We%26#39;re staying one night in Chisos and one night either Alpine or Marathon as part of a long driving trip. Can anyone give me a recommend on which hotel would be a more entertaining one night stay? We%26#39;ll be seeing Chinati Foundation art tour earlier in the day (once we get up from Big Bend), so driving time would probably make Alpine a better bet, but the Gage looks really nice.
and btw, are BOTH haunted? Have stayed in some fun haunted spots and some that gave me the creeps!
thank you all!

From all of the positive reviews posted by T/A travelers, it looks like you can%26#39;t lose in this comparison.
During your stay at Chisos, you may want to refrain from any moonlight strolls however. The last time I was overnighting in the nearby campground, it had just been visited by a strolling Mountain Lion! A great, ';wilderness'; area though. Also, try to take in Fort Davis National Historic Site if you%26#39;re into western history. It is one of the best preserved and/or restored military posts in the Southwest.
Holland Hotel Alpine or Gage Hotel Marathon?thanks, I will do that! we%26#39;re going to add a day so i should have time.
