Hyatt Regency (Riverwalk) or Omni La Mansion del Rio?

My husband and I will be attending a conference at the Convention Center later this month, and need to decide between these two hotels on the Riverwalk (reduced group rate is the same for both).

We are in our 40s and prefer a quiet, classy hotel.

Please let me know your opinion.

Thanks.

Hyatt Regency (Riverwalk) or Omni La Mansion del Rio?

They are Both nice hotels that are centrally located on the RW but I would give the edge to Omni La Mansion del Rio it has a historic Spanish old world charm which give you the feel of a Mansion %26amp; + it%26#39;s very luxurious with beautiful view of the RW or courtyard + they have a heated pool but at this time of the year you really don%26#39;t need it. www.omnilamansion.com

Have a great time in SA!!!!!!

Hyatt Regency (Riverwalk) or Omni La Mansion del Rio?

Thanks! I was leaning towards the Omni but reading through all the reviews for both hotels gets so confusing, and a local expert%26#39;s opinion definitely helps.

La Mansion wins hands down for class and character. Service has gone down a bit with Omni taking over the management of the property.

La Mansion.

Hyatt Regency better located, but not a quitr, classy hotel.

Better choice for quite %26amp; classy, but not on the River is the St. Anthony.

Hi-I actually stayed at both places last fall -I had meetings at the Hyatt and chose to stay a couple extra days at La Mansion.

Either location is good for walking around; both are on the riverwalk, but the Omni has a lot more building character. The Hyatt%26#39;s a hyatt-very nice hotel, I didn%26#39;t have a great RW view, but had a corner room with windows on 2 sides with partial RW view and city views. The Hyatt had a pretty nice pasta/asian noodle buffet which was enjoyable. I didn%26#39;t eat at the Omni. The Omni%26#39;s right across from the Watermark Spa/hotel and I did a spa treatment there which was expensive but fun.

The omni%26#39;s an older building; I first had a city view with a balcony, but paid to upgrade to a RW balcony room which I really enjoyed. I got the omni on hotwire for a good price-you can usually figure out the ';blind'; hotels they%26#39;re quoting, so it was worth it to upgrade when I got there.

Either one%26#39;s nice-I have room pictures from both if that helps you, just message me. Good luck!
