Hi! I am looking for a good Indian or Pakistan Restaurant in Houston. Please let me know what you would suggest. It doesn%26#39;t have to be fancy or glamorous, just looking for good food. I am into the curry and naan. Thanks!

Also out on the west side is Ashiana, located at Briar Forest and Dairy Ashford. Very good.

Indika on lower Westheimer is really good and the prettiest Indian restaurant in town

Hillcroft just north of 59 is the Desi commercial section of town and where most, if not the best, of the restaurants are in the city. The Pakistani places are particularly good, but also seem to change names/owners every six months are so.

There are several of them in Houston. In addition to the ones named, Madras Pavilion (vegetarian) (Kirby and 59) and Khyber (Richmond and Kirby) are two that come to mind. These are also more authentic and less expensive. Sheikh Chili%26#39;s is a good Pakistani (full of locals). In general - Hillcroft area is Indian, Bissonet, Wilcrest - Pakistani

For top of the line atmosphere, food and prices, Kiran%26#39;s can%26#39;t be topped. Owner and chef Kiran Verma opened, built and sold Ashiana in far west Houston, and has been here about 4-5 years.
