Just decided to go to San Antonio with another couple this coming weekend. I wish I had sufficient time to research but I don%26#39;t. Any help you can provide on what to do and where to eat would be appreciated. We%26#39;ll have all day both Saturday and Sunday with a 4:00PM flight out on Monday.
Last minute trip from May 1st to May 4th- HELP!
A must to see is the Alamo but maybe seeing the movie 1st at the Imax may give you a better understanding the importance. www.thealamo.org www.imax-sa.com take a river cruise which is a 35 min narrated cruise down the river. www.riosanantonio.com You may want to visit the Tower of the Americas %26amp; have dinner on top the Tower rotates around the city which gives you a spectacular view of SA. www.toweroftheamericas.com the food is excellent so good that it feels like it melts in your mouth. You may want to visit the Historic Sunset Station www.sunset-station.com or Buckhorn Saloon %26amp; Museum www.buckhornmuseum.com or the Guenther House www.guentherhouse.com
Do you plan to stay in the downtown area or do you want things to do outside of downtown like the Theme Parks, SeaWorld or Fiesta TX. let us know?????
Some good places to eat besides the Tower is Boudro%26#39;s make sure you get the guacamole prepared tableside with a prickly pear margarita. www.boudros.com or have a special meal at Biga www.biga.com %26amp; for some good Mexican Food with a SA feel to it is at the Market Square La Margarita www.lamargarita.com or Mi Tierra www.mitierracafe.com Good simple Italian Michelino%26#39;s www.michelinos.us or for a good steak Saltgrass near the Drury Plaza or Texas Land %26amp; Cattle near Drury Inn or for a TX type food try Lone Star Café.
Fun places to go at night would be Rita%26#39;s on the River, Jim Cullum%26#39;s Landing for Jazz at the Hyatt Regency or Durty Nelly%26#39;s at Hilton Palacio del Rio www.durty-nellys.com or Howl at the Moon www.howlatthemoon.com
This is just a few if you need more just ask?????

Please write a TR %26amp; let us know how it went!!!!!
Your information is a LIFESAVER! We will be staying at the Hyatt timeshare but I%26#39;m not sure where that is. I think since we have limited time, we plan on pretty much staying around San Antonio itself.
The guys don%26#39;t want to bring a sports jacket. Do any of your recommendations require a sports jacket?
Many thanks again!
Bonnie
No, San Antonio is a very lay back place %26amp; not many restaurant require a jacket not even the Tower of the Americas so no worries you are safe.
You said you are staying at a Hyatt Time Share is it the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch ????? if it is then it%26#39;s near SeaWorld about a 20 min drive to downtown.
There are 2 Hyatts downtown and one near Sea World. The downtown area, I think would be better for a quick trip like yours. There is PLENTY to do downtown and you should stay busy. There is the Mexican Market downtown with some great Mexican restaurants, the river walk, the alamo, on and on and on. Have fun packing. It has been raining but tomorrow is clear and in the 90s so dress cool with cool shoes.
