Monthly Parking Pass

We are staying in downtown SA for an entire week, and are wondering if one can buy a monthly parking pass at any one of the downtown parking garages or lots?

We are going to be in and out a lot, and don%26#39;t want to a) pay each and every single time we are leaving, and b) want to make sure that we have a designated parking space when we return from our outings.

We are staying at the Hotel Contessa, given that we are used to walking (we live in NYC) we don%26#39;t mind if the garage is a few blocks away.

Monthly Parking Pass

It might be worth it. I oay $90 per month, but it near the Courthouse not the Contessa. You might try the private garage next to the Travis Park Building

Monthly Parking Pass

downtwon residents must provide a rental contract when getting their initial monlty parking...I am thinking it may not be possible to get a month pass in a city garage.

Try this website for parking garages to see if you find what you are looking for. www.visitSanAntoni.com on the bottom where the Tools are then click on Area Map for parking garages.

Thanks all. I did check the city garages, and for those one has to present all kinds of documentation. So they are out of the question.

However, I did call a few private ones, but had to leave a message. Once I%26#39;ll get a definite answer I%26#39;ll let you all know if it is possible.

Have you checked the daily rate at the Hotel? I don%26#39;t know but if it%26#39;s $20 for 5 days that%26#39;s $100 - close to the $90 mentioned above.

Hi Octoboy,

Our hotel charges $25 a day with in/out priviliges, which comes out to $175 since we are staying for 7 days. Also, the valet has to be tipped each and every single time which means additional cost.

Like I said we don%26#39;t mind walking a few block if that means saving some additional money which we%26#39;d rather spent on some great Texan food. :-)

Yep, a little pricey

Here is another website for parking garages in the downtown area www.SanAntonio.gov/asm/parking/garages

You know the meters are FREE after 6 pm.

Here is a 24 hrs garages maybe they could help it%26#39;s St Mary%26#39;s Garage www.sanantonio.gov/dtops/stmarydo.asp

or you could change your hotel %26amp; stay at 1 that has Free Parking in the downtown area?????

Thanks Pruske25. I have checked the websites, but it seems that one has to be a S.A. resident, no?

I don%26#39;t think we can switch anymore either. We booked through Expedia, and got a very good deal at Hotel Contessa. Though reading some of the reviews AFTER we booked has us somewhat concerned, and some of the latest reviews on Expedia have given me slight anxiety.

Oh, if you booked thru Expedia, I guess you can%26#39;t change. I know some garages you have to be a resident but not sure if all of them are like that. Sorry I%26#39;m no help for which ones do!!!!
