This will be my first time out to Fort Sam Houston to visit my boyfriend thats in medic training and was wondering if anyone can lead me in the right direction on picking a nice, reasonably priced, safe neighborhood, and safe hotel thats not that far from fort sam houston?? I had a couple in mind...comfort inn and suites near the at%26amp;t center or the comfort suites san antonio right off the I-35...any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You may want to check out the Drury Inn or Pear Tree on Walzem it%26#39;s about a 10 min drive from Ft Sam Houston.
I would skip the Comfort Inn near the AT%26amp;T Center it%26#39;s not that close + it%26#39;s not in a safe area IMO.
The Drury is in a great location in Windcrest which is very safe in the NE area www.druryhotels.com
Days Inn would be ok as well www.daysinn.com there is the Hawthorn Suites www.hawthornsuitessa.com also in good area. The Comfort Suites on Rittiman Rd is borderline %26amp; the Drury is only 5 min from %26amp; a lot better area IMO. Have a great visit.
