Are taxi%26#39;s readily available around the Woodlands area? I am attending a show at the Cynthia Woods pavilion and am considering staying at the Courtyard Woodlands by Marriott which is close to the pavilion, but im not sure if its close enough to walk by myself at night?
I%26#39;m just hoping that i can flag a taxi or something to take me back to the hotel or would it be best to book one?
Thanks
Taxi's around the Woodlands
I called the hotel directly and was told the hotel will sometimes offer a shuttle to events at the CWMP, but the scheudule is not out yet.
She advised they have a very reliable taxi service they work with and to book in advance. The rate was $10-15, she wasn%26#39;t certain if that was one-way or round-trip.

Thanks knr :)
The reviews of the Hilton Garden Inn rate really well on here (better than Courtyard Marriott) so now i%26#39;m thinking of staying there however it%26#39;s a little further. I have a feeling it will all work out one way or another.
I suggest you stay at the Marriott Woodlands Waterway across the street from the pavilion if its available. You could walk through the mall to the Courtyard, but it would still be a couple of blocks to the hotel after that.
I would love to Texhills but unfortunately it is out of my budget. Currently they have rooms for $220 per night whereas Hilton Garden Inn have rates for $99.
It looks like a taxi is the way to go at this stage.
yeah that pesky budget has a way of intruding into our plans. lol The Garden Inn is just down the street and that area is very busy on the weekend, what with the Woodlands Mall, movies and restaurants, but I understand about not wanting to walk it alone at night even with a lot of people around. In case you don%26#39;t know about Google Maps, use it and click ';satellite'; to get a view of the area.
I did do that and to be honest it looks quite desolate! Maybe i am just used to the streets here in Sydney, where we have street lights and houses upon houses lol but i do understand that the woodlands isn%26#39;t like that.
Oh and it doesn%26#39;t even look like there are street paths? I%26#39;m sure once i get there i%26#39;ll be thinking what was i worried about :)
If by street paths you mean what we call sidewalks and the Brits call pavement, yes they are there. If you zoom in on Google you can see it running along the West side of Six Pines all the way to the hotel.
Ahh yes, that%26#39;s what i meant. Thanks :)
