Toronto-Houston-Little Rock-Houston-Toronto

I%26#39;ll be flying over from UK for 2 weeks in Aug first to Canada and than probably a 5day trip to US. I%26#39;d like to see my 2 cousins and I intend to fly in/out from Buffalo on this side of the border. Any advice is greatly appreciated, especially the travel between Houston %26amp; Little Rock. We are 2 adults %26amp; 1 Child, maybe 3 adults - is it easier to rent a car or hop on a Bus? How early should I book my Buffalo-Houston flights? Thanks

In the US it is always easier (quicker, cheaper for multiple passengers) to rent a car and drive.

Unfortunately (for speed and ease) or fortunately (for beauty) there is not a good interstate highway for well over half of your journey. As I mentioned it is beautiful country, but you%26#39;ll be going through many small towns and that will slow you down some. Do heed posted speed limits especially as you enter the towns.

I use mapquest for directions and maps and find it to be very reliable.

I would not recommend bus travel.

Octoboy is correct...if you drive beware of the speed in the small towns along Highway 59.

You might also look into cheap fares on Southwest Airlines between Houston Hobby and Little Rock. They fly Buffalo-Houston also.

Welcome to Texas!!

If you only have 5 days for the US part of your trip, you really need to fly. A bus ride alone from Houston to Little Rock would take almost an entire day. It%26#39;s about an 8 hour drive by car. As mentioned above, Southwest Airlines may be your best choice for flights between the three. When you arrive, rent a car, unless someone will be picking you up from the airport. Book as soon as you can. Southwest flights are cheapest if you book early.

Due to the limited time you really will have to fly. As the previous post stated try Southwest or Continental. Usually 14-advance you can get tickets as low as $84.00 one way (per person) (both segments - yes it is about the same from Buff to Houston as it is from Houston to Little Rock). Southwest flies out of Hobby and Continental out of IAH. The two airports are about 1 hour from each other. Not sure where your relatives are in Houston - that can play a role too.

You guys are amazing as always. Is it possible to fly in to Buffalo-Houston-Little Rock OR Buffalo-Little Rock-Houston? I can also consider driving between Houston/Little Rock before flying back to Buffalo if is a lot cheaper! Thanks Guys!

Southwest Airlines books in one-way segments, so just book flights from Buffalo to Houston, Houston to Little Rock, and then Little Rock to Buffalo.

You might try calling Southwest too, and see if you can get a better deal buying a circle ticket BUF-HOU-LTR-BUF, that is Buffalo, Houston, Little Rock back to Buffalo.

Check Continental also.

While others recommend Southwest, I%26#39;d recommend trying JetBlue and connect via JFK to Houston-Hobby, so you would go BUF-JFK-HOU. Apparently the legroom is a lot nicer and there%26#39;s DirecTV in every seat.

As for Houston and Little Rock, people I know that go there drive and takes about a day. It wouldn%26#39;t hurt to check out fares on this route. Continental via Intercontinental or Southwest via Hobby fly nonstop, while most of the other airlines connect at the big hubs. Check out vaymama.com and plug and play around with dates to see the price range of fares.

you%26#39;d probably need to rent a car in all places, Houston for sure. I second Southwest, Jet Blue, Continental and - if you may want to consider British Airways via NY, if they have that option. There are 2 flights a day from HOU to London on B.A. (not sure what city you%26#39;re coming from)
