Comedy Clubs Any Good?

There are several of us debating whether to go to an area comedy club or a nice bar/club with good music for a nice celebration. None of us have been to the Addison Improv or the Backdoor Comedy Club on 75. Anyone been lately and did you enjoy? Would appreciate some suggestions for restaurant/clubs for good music. We have been to Sullivan%26#39;s and most of the time they have a decent band, but would love other suggestions. We are all in our 40%26#39;s and 50%26#39;s, so no kid stuff. We would prefer to stay in the North Dallas area, Addison, or even Plano areas, but not a must. Thanks for your help.

My wife and I are 57. We enjoy the Improv from time to time. Just read the reviews for who the headliner is that night. Pete%26#39;s Dueling Pianos is right next door.

For music I%26#39;d look at Memphis in Addison (southwest corner of the Tollway and Beltline). They play rock, pop, jazz, blues. Depends on the night. Just Google ';Memphis Night Club Dallas%26#39;'; (the website eludes me at the moment.

I%26#39;d also look at Avanti%26#39;s on Addison Circle. They usually have a guitarist seven nights a week. Relatively small but intimate. Frequently a fun crowd.

Also there%26#39;s a new Irish pub in the new City of Friso center that has groups on weekends. They had

Brave Combo there back in February. A good crowd overall. Can%26#39;t remember the name of the pub though.

Thanks a lot. Yes, I have seen who the comic is the Sat. we want to go. Not for sure if that%26#39;s what we want to do. I have actually been to the Memphis Bar a few times, but it has been a few years back. It was a lot of fun, but it%26#39;s a small place. There may be 18 of us! I guess I should have mentioned that. I am not familiar with Ernie%26#39;s, but that sounds like fun. Thanks again.
