Great Hotel on Riverwalk

I%26#39;ve been to SA many many times...but yet I still don%26#39;t know of a great place to stay on the river walk.

I%26#39;d like a decent price...nothing like the $300 a night we once paid..grant it, it was a special occasion, but still, that was just crazy. Yes, the room was lovely, but still don%26#39;t want to pay that again.

We are ordinary people looking for a nice place on the river walk..we dont%26#39; expect over the top luxury, but a nice bed and a nice hotel would be perfect.

Please give me some suggestions. It seems like many of the hotels I have researched here on tripadvisor have mostly negative comments..so, I am asking you all for help!

Thanks in advance!

I like the Hyatt Regency on the river. Its on a prime location: Alamo Plaza and the Riverwalk. Not to sure on the price, but you might be able to get a room for well under 300.

No Great Hotels here..No Ritz Carlton,Four Seasons..There are several very good hotels on the river...My fave is The Venetian..More of an escape rather than an ordinary stay..Same with The Watermark..Have not stayed at The Grand Hyatt here, but The Grand Hyatt in NYC was awesome..With all the Internet tools for lodging, you should never pay $300 a night in most cities...

Wow..No one busted me for my brain freeze..Of course everyone knows The Venetian is in Vegas..I meant to type The Valencia...
