In a nutshell: I am worried. We booked our trip for the end of June back in February and are going to stay for an entire week.
I%26#39;ve been keeping up with the reviews on this website and others, and the negative reviews were consistently about the customer service which is one of my greatest pet peeves. While we do travel to Europe every summer, it is not a vacation in the sense where we stay at hotels and get spoiled. We stay with family, which means that it%26#39;s still business as usual when it comes to the day-to-day operation of regular life.
So, this is our first real vacation in a few years where we just want to relax, eat, be merry, enjoy friends, family, and the great atmosphere San Antonio offers. Plus, we haven%26#39;t been to S.A. in 3 years, so we want it to be really special since we miss S.A. a lot. We are very much looking forward to this trip, and don%26#39;t want it to be overshadowed by rude or lack of customer service (got enough of it here in the Big Apple).
I am really anxious, and may be we won%26#39;t have the same negative experience, but the fact that a hotel of this caliber even receives complaints about customer service is a little unnerving (I%26#39;ve even had nightmares about this). I know that there will always be people who complain, but like I said, a hotel of this statue shouldn%26#39;t receive this amount of negative reviews.
What has your experience been, and what can we do to make sure that our stay is going to be a memorable one? Hopefully ya%26#39;ll can ease my worries a little. Thanks so much in advance.
Hotel Contessa Reviews
I checked with some family members that stayed there %26amp; they said they didn%26#39;t experience bad customer service but it all depends on who on duty %26amp; ones expectations.?????
Hotel Contessa Reviews
If you are worried, go to the SA forum and read reviews of SA hotels. If you find one that is more to your liking, cancel the Contessa and book the other. A trip to San Antonio is such a wonderful experience that you should have unadulterated joy in anticipating your stay.
Thanks for your input.
San Antonio is my husband%26#39;s hometown, and I lived there for a while until work called us to the East Coast. We hold S.A. very dear to our hearts, and always look forward to visit because it%26#39;s such a special place, and you can%26#39;t imagine how excited we are about this trip after almost three years.
Anyway, I%26#39;m going to check out if we can change our reservations because we want it to be another memorable visit.
