Hyaat Place Riverwalk

Just returned from San Antonio, stayed at Hyaat Place Riverwalk, and had a very nice stay. Its right on the river but about 3 blocks from the where the main part starts, which is no problem at all if you can walk a little. Just a nice stroll a couple of times a day. If you go the city route to the river it takes a little longer on city streets.

Hotel is nice and clean, staff is nice, friendly, helpful, the day manager (Gary) is very nice, you will see him everyday as he is a hands on manger and watches over everything to make sure its running smooth.

Breakfast is ample and fresh, Starbucks coffee, all you can drink on the buffet.Fresh fruit out all day also. Buffet ends at !0:30am.

I dropped a whole cup of coffee one morning on the lobby floor, and the girls were so nice in cleaning it up and not making me feel bad, saying not to worry about it and that it was OK. I felt like 2 cents but they made it seem OK. Just an example of how nice they treat everyone there, really make you feel that you are a valued customer.

We had a late flight, 2:40 and it was no problem getting a late check-out from Gary as check-out is 11am, he let us stay until 2 with no extra charge. We actually left about 1, they had a cab there for me so I didn%26#39;t have to worry about that. I say out the window he was there about 30 minutes early waiting for us to come down.

You will not reget staying there if you can walk a little. Ask them about the close by restusrants, some good ones the locals use. Have a great time, Buck

Thanks for the great TR %26amp; info on the Hyatt Place %26amp;glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip.

Where else did you eat????

What did you do in SA while here????

Would love to hear your takes on your trip as well.

Hyaat Place Riverwalk

We found a couple of local places to eat, La Forciaaca a couple of blocks south of the hotel, also ate at Luca%26#39;s in the old Fairmont Hotel across the street from Hemshere Park, Both very good, at La Forciaaca the salmon will blow you away, ask for Sopia to wait your table, she is very good and will tell you the best things to order.

We also ate lunch at the top of the tower, it a Chart House but the food is very good. If you go up on the resturant elevator you save $12 each but you still get the view so it kind of makes up for the prices.

We also did the San Antonia things, Alamo, River Boat ride twice, once at night, I-Max, hop on hop off trolley, we had lunch at the Guanter%26#39;s, which was very nice eating on the outside patio, and looking around the grounds of the old flour mill started by a German family who still run it.

We were busy for 3 or 4 days and really had a blast, Buck

Wow, you had some great meals, glad to hear that. The food at the Tower is excellent %26amp; love the spectacular view of SA.

Thanks for sharing!!!!!!
