Marriot RiverCenter or Marriot RiverWalk?

Hello! My husband and I are planning a 5th anniversary trip to San Antonio next weekend. We%26#39;re using Marriot Rewards and would ideally like to stay on the Riverwalk.

So, that leaves the Marriot Riverwalk and Rivercenter as the two choices. I think I%26#39;ve read just about every review website out there and getting conflicting info about these two. Just feeling confused.

Rivercenter

- Like that it%26#39;s a newer, more resort-type property.

- Dislike small rooms and no balconies.

- Not sure if location is really better or worse than RW.

Riverwalk

- Like that it has balconies and bigger rooms.

- Dislike that it%26#39;s 60%26#39;s-style Marriot!

- Again, not sure about location.

Just an FYI, I%26#39;m a super picky hotel person. I generally don%26#39;t like hotels (germ issues), so when I pick one, I tend to like newer or recently renovated ones. Both of these have been recently renovated. Just not sure what to think. The balconies at RW are a big plus.

HELP PLEASE!! Thanks :-)

Marriot RiverCenter or Marriot RiverWalk?

Sorry...just noticed that all my MarriotT%26#39;s were spelled MarrioT! :-)

Marriot RiverCenter or Marriot RiverWalk?

You have covered all the differences..Now it is a personal decision..The Marriott Rivercenter has a few balcony rooms, but I believe they are suites..I attended a party at one on the 17%26#39;th floor..It had a spacious wrap around balcony..Location is about the same as they are across the street from each other..I am a balcony person so I would go with Riverwalk unless you can get a good deal on a balcony suite at Riverwalk..

They are both in the same location just about the same area across the street. Here is a website for a map to see go to www.visitSanAntonio.com on lower part under tools click on maps there is 1 for the Riverwalk, They are both very nice so it%26#39;s just personal choice in which meets your criteria %26amp; personal preference.

The other + for Rivercenter is that it%26#39;s connected to Rivercenter Mall so you can take an elevator to the mall without going outside.

Good Luck in deciding!!!!!

Just FYI - Shearton Grand is the newest hotel in that area.

if you chose Riverwalk then just remember that the view to the west is better...on the other hand, the afternoon sun can be brutal ...either hotel will be fine..I can%26#39;t imagine sitting in your hotel room/balcony long enough for it to really matter--their are too many things to see and do.
