My husband and I are wanting to take our kids (11, 6 and 3) tent camping this summer and we%26#39;re looking at SPI. However, I%26#39;m not having much luck finding anywhere online that can tell me much. We%26#39;re not picky...would just like access to showers. Any information anyone could give me would be wonderful. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, i am not going to be much help here. There are 2 RV camping areas. I know the one on the south end has showers, etc. The only people I have ever seen camping in tents are doing it way on the north end where there are no facilities. Maybe someone else can help you...have you contacted the Chamber Of Commerce?

Try calling the Cameron County Parks office at 956-761-5494 and ask if Isla Blanca Park, at the south end of the island has tenting sites.
