texas to oklahoma
I think that no one in Texas knows where';tusa'; is. Do you mean Tulsa, Oklahoma? If so, Big Bend is nowhere near your route. Perhaps you should clarify.
texas to oklahomasorry got wrong area im looking for the best route from dwf to sapulpa oklahoma ,im hiking and would like to know the best route to take staying out off the bad areas is a priority would like to take the most direct route or would it be better to take the bus and where from many thanks any info appreciated
OK, gotcha. Google Maps says it%26#39;s 262 miles to Sapulpa from DFW. If you understand the distance and want to proceed, here%26#39;s what I%26#39;d do.
First, I don%26#39;t know of a safe way to walk out of DFW airport. There are zero facilities for pedestrians outside the terminal areas, less even than Heathrow. Even if you can, I don%26#39;t think it would be a pleasant way to get started as you would be hiking beside busy and dangerous freeways for the first 25 miles or so.
You could go to Denton to the north of DFW via a shuttle van http://www.supershuttle.com/DFW_shuttle.aspx and be dropped someplace on the east side of town convenient to Hwy 377/380. I know a supermarket along the way for any supplies you need if you want to pursue this. From Denton, you could follow Hwy 377 North all the way to Stroud, OK and then follow I44 East which goes into Sapulpa. The parts of 377 in Texas I%26#39;ve been on are pretty and not nearly as busy as the I35 freeway north to Oklahoma City.
If you plan on camping along the way, there%26#39;s a very nice campground near Pilot Point along the route. See my review at tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g56455-d1395…
If you haven%26#39;t done so, you should also seek advice in the Oklahoma forum. Let us know if you have any questions.
thank you your advice has been very helpfull and i hope to be able to leave the uk in 6 weeks and cant wait ,are there any dangers i should look out for along my way [bad areas or areas of concern].
In TX the route is through small towns and countryside, so it should be alright. Don%26#39;t know about OK.
thanks i should be ok as long as i stay away from the snakes
