Taking a short quick 2 day weekend to the waterpark in Galveston. Can any one recommend a nice hotel? Don%26#39;t want to spend to much. Thanks!
Hotels in Galveston or Texas CityI would check the La Quinta Inn and Suites, Comfort Suites, Holiday Inn all on Seawall Blvd.
Hotels in Galveston or Texas CityConsider a bed and breakfast! It is a great way to support the small businesses of Galveston and you really never know what you will get with a hotel in that town.
The bed and breakfast people were really open and honest when I called asking about rooms this weekend and the best part about them is they actually recommended each other. All of them pointed me to the Lost Bayou Guesthouse when I described what I was looking for. That is unheard of among hotels.
If you are set on a hotel, avoid the Hampton Inn and especially avoid making last minute decisions toward something that looks cheap on the seawall. It gets dangerous there at night. Please please please do not stay in the Moody Gardens Hotel. See my review for details. I can only safely recommend one hotel really, and that is the Hilton Resort, though if you are going to pay that kind of money you might as well stay in a Bed %26amp; Breakfast where the stakes are higher to make every guest happy.
Have a good trip. :)
Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort! Located on Seawall and has the largest pool with the exception of the much more expensive San Luis. Location across the street from the beach is nice and all of the rooms have a gulf view and balcony!
