Retired Couple Have Questions about wintering around CC

Another couple and my husband and I are looking into wintering in the Corpus Christi area. We don%26#39;t know anyone in our area who goes there so have no feedback on what the area would be like for this. We would like to be either on the beach or close to it. Where would we start looking to see about accommodations available? Is this a high cost area to rent in? Also, in Florida many of the retirees who rent condos must be out by March 15th because of the influx of spring breakers and the rent more than doubles. Will we find this in the CC area as well? I%26#39;m thinking we%26#39;d like to stay longer into the spring but the budget couldn%26#39;t handle high rent costs. Any help would be appreciated.

I have no experience in rental rates or conditions as I live here but most winters are very pleasant.

There are dozens if not hundreds of properties, in all price ranges. Try googleing condos +corpus christi or rental +corpus christi

Port Royal Condos was one of the first I came to - winter rates are about $1500 to $3000 per month.

Thanks for the help. Will begin looking into the area.

There are a lot of properties on Mustang Island in the Port Aransas area. Only drawback would be this is Spring Break Central in March and if you are planning to stay you might be right in the middle of all the hoopla.
